My 4 year-old daughter ran up to me today and said, “Mommy, you’re famous!” I replied, “Why am I famous?” “You found my critter bunny when you were cleaning the toy room!” I thought it was so cute that she thought I was famous! I am deep cleaning the toy room this week as 4 of our kiddos are at camp, because my 6 month old is beginning to roll, scoot, and make his way across the floor…..no more little tiny toys in the toy room!
Have a big cleaning job or outdoor project in July? It calls for some AWESOME sugar-free drinks! I rounded up a few of my all-time favorites! I can’t wait to share them with you and please tell me which one you LOVE the most! If you are new to Trim Healthy Mama, the labels on the drinks are: “Satisfying” or S meals focused on protein and healthy fats and keep carbs to a minimum 10 grams per meal. “Energizing” or E meals include lean protein and healthy carbs, keeping fats below 5 grams. “Fuel Pull” includes both low, healthy fats and low, healthy carbs keeping it to less than 10 grams of carbs and less than 5 grams of fat.
Here we go…..
Bri’s Mocha Shake (THM-S)
If you have followed the Trim Healthy Mama plan for any time at all you are very familiar with the Blogger Briana Thomas Burkholder! She is “famous” for her awesome sugar-free ice cream and amazing cookbooks! Get her cookbook Necessary Food and Convenient Food here.
I love Briana’s recipe for her Mocha Shake! It is my go-to when I need a quick ice cream fix or am craving a Wendy’s frosty. The consistency and taste is just what I need on a hot day or any day for that matter! Thanks Bri for this amazing cold dessert! Click here for the recipe!
Ruth’s Strawberry Italian Cream Soda (THM-S)
My dear friend Ruth made me one of these amazing drinks at an Independence Day celebration in 2019–(I tweaked it a bit). I was in-love! It hit the spot and this drink was so COOL and refreshing! She made me a Strawberry flavored drink, but really you can make any flavor of unsweetened carbonated beverage! So many flavors to try! Yay!
- 1 can of unsweetened strawberry sparkling beverage-or favorite flavor
- 1/16 tsp Stevia or 2 Tbsp THM Gentle Sweet or 1 Tbsp THM Super Sweet
- 1-2 Tbsp Whipping Cream
- 1/8 tsp Caramel Flavoring
***Stir up ingredients and add ice! Beware–add sweetener a little at a time as carbonation may cause beverage to overflow!
Melissa’s Sugar-Free Lemonade (THM-FP)
This recipe comes from my good friend Melissa! I have been trying so hard to make a good sugar-free lemonade and she sent me her recipe that was JUST RIGHT! So simple to make and very budget friendly!
- 3 Tbsp THM Super Sweet
- 3/4 Cup Lemon Juice
- 1/2 Gallon Water
- 1 Tbsp THM Super Sweet
- 2 Tbsp Lemon Juice
- 2 Cups Water
Sugar-Free Lemon Berry Slush (THM-FP)
This recipe is one of my more recent creations. I really wanted to use the Triple Berry Blend from Walmart for an easy to whip up treat! I love this blend to make smoothies or just to eat half-way defrosted! Our family has been drinking A LOT of lemonade lately, so it was natural to slip in a bit of lemon juice for a nice cool summer drink! You can go to the recipe here.
Frosted Strawberry Limeade (THM-S or FP)
Teresia at Nana’s Little Kitchen has an amazing delicious Frosted Stawberry Limeade. It is so refreshing and hits the spot on an extra hot day. I used frozen strawberries and lemon juice out of the little lime shaped container. My Vitamix blender did an excellent job getting a nice, smooth texture. I highly recommend Vitamix. You can get one here. I would love to try fresh lime juice next time! Let me know if you try it fresh! Here is the link to this awesome recipe.
The Shrinker (THM-FP)
This is one of the very first drink creations I made after starting Trim Healthy Mama about 4 year ago! Ooooolong tea is amazing and I also love the almond milk added to this drink. I have to admit I have never tried the cayenne pepper in this yet!! Have you tried it?
Here is the link to this drink, it is a classic THM sipper! Click HERE.
